A daughter of immigrants, Attorney Rakhi J. Patel was raised in the northeastern and southern United States and in Mexico. Her father and mother were among the first people from their respective hometowns in India to come to the United States, her father initially to study at Yale University. Both eventually went through the immigration process to become permanent residents and then U.S. citizens. Ms. Patel understands first-hand the aspiration (and hardships involved) to come to the United States to live the American Dream. Ms. Patel is proud to continue her family’s legacy in assisting others immigrate to the United States to achieve their version of the American Dream through her immigration legal services.
Ms. Patel practices exclusively in the areas of business, employment, and family immigration law. She has successfully represented individuals, national and international businesses, and employees in a broad range of immigration matters. Among the legal services that Ms. Patel offers are assistance with H-1B, H-3, L-1A/L-1B, PERM, F, K-1/K-3, U, citizenship, and permanent residency matters. Ms. Patel also provides pro bono legal services.
Ms. Patel graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College. She earned her law degree from The Penn State University Dickinson School of Law. While attending law school, Ms. Patel served as Articles Editor of the Penn State Environmental Law Review and studied abroad in Florence, Italy. She also clerked in an internship capacity for judges of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the Court of Common Pleas for Dauphin County.
Ms. Patel is admitted to the Pennsylvania bar and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. She has been selected to The National Advocates, an invitation-only professional organization composed of top attorneys from each state.
