The Value of an Initial Consultation
During the consultation, you should expect the immigration attorney to:
- Conduct a review of your immigration history
- Determine the immigration benefits for which you may qualify
- Provide you an estimate of costs and legal fees associated with your case (in some cases, estimates may be provided after the consultation)
** Attorney Patel does not provide legal advice or instruction on how to complete paperwork or file a case during the consultation or if you decide to handle your immigration case on your own.
No quote for legal fees can be provided without a consultation. Consultation appointments are available Monday to Wednesday. If the person needing a consultation cannot communicate in English, please have an interpreter available for the consultation.
Consultation Fees
The firm offers a one-time, fee-based consultation with Attorney Patel. Forty-five (45) minutes from the consultation appointment time will be reserved for the consultation. If a more in-depth consultation is required, additional fees may apply. The payment of the consultation fee reserves the attorney’s time for the consultation. Consultation fees will not be refunded/returned to you if you cancel the consultation.
You are not obligated to hire the firm to represent you after the consultation. An attorney-client relationship is not established by requesting a consultation or having a consultation with the firm, and the consultation does not provide any obligation on behalf of the firm to provide any services other than the consultation. If you decide to hire the firm, then we would ask you to sign a written engagement letter that describes the services to be rendered, any fees involved, and other terms and conditions.
Cancellation/Appointment Policy
The payment of the consultation fee reserves the attorney’s time for the consultation. Consultation fees will not be refunded/returned to you if you cancel the consultation.
The consultation can be rescheduled one time without any additional fees if you contact our office to reschedule at least forty-eight (48) business hours prior to the consultation appointment time.
